18. Suspension of Kaolin

Suspension and dispersion refer to the property that kaolin is difficult to precipitate when dispersed in water. Also known as anti-flocculation. The finer the particle size, the better the suspensibility. Kaolin used in enamel industry requires good suspension. Generally, the suspension performance of the sample dispersed in water is determined by the settling speed of the sample after a certain time.
